WEEK 22 FOOTBALL PICKS

The NFL playoffs took a very interesting turn last weekend, as we had two number 6 seeds knock off the two number 1 seeds. The Packers pounded the Atlanta Falcons 48 to 21 and the Jets beat the New England Patriots 28 to 21. The Steelers rallied to defeat the rival Ravens 31 to 24 and the Bears beat the Seahawks as expected 35 to 24.

*****The ArmChair Coach Game Ball Of The Week goes to both of the 6 seeds, the Green Bay Packers and the New York Jets, for pulling upsets of the two Number 1 seeds*****

The ArmChair Coach went 3 and 1 in football picks last week. My record for the season is 142 and 52 for a percentage of .732. Lets look at this weeks picks.

NFL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

NFC Championship..... Green Bay @ Chicago..... This storied and most played rivalry in NFL history gets kicked up a few notches this week, as the Packers and Bears play for the NFC Title and a birth in the Super Bowl. They split their season series with each winning on their home turf. The Bears have the home turf this time, but I see Aaron Rodgers and the Packers packing their bags for Dallas and the Super Bowl..... Green Bay 24 Chicago 17

AFC Championship..... NY Jets @ Pittsburg..... Both of these teams knocked off big rivals last week to get to this game. It wouldn't shock me to see the Jets win this game, but I feel like the Steelers will find a way to get it done..... Pittsburg 20 NY Jets 17

Did You Know? The 48 points the Green Bay Packers scored last week in beating the Atlanta Falcons was a post season record for their long storied history.

Did You Know? Second year NY Jets QB Mark Sanchez has already won 4 playoff games. He has a record of 4 and 1. It looks like he has a bright future.

Until Next Time.
