WEEK 5 2012 FOOTBALL PICKS

The Gaffney Indians had the week off last week but, from what I heard they had a tough battle with Open Date. Ha! Ha! just kidding. We did have some very good games last week. In High School games, Greenville won a great game against Greer 24 to 21 and Dorman made a statement by defeating 6th ranked Dutch Fork 45 to 21. In College games, Clemson and South Carolina both won big and Florida continued their domination over Tennessee. In the NFL, Carolina and Miami both got their first wins of the season.

I am glad that my new crystal had a warranty with it when I bought it because I decided to take it back and get another. I went only 5 and 5 in my football picks last week. I am 25 and 15 for the season for a percentage of .625. I expect to do better this week. Let's look at this week's games.

HIGH SCHOOL GAMES

Dorman @ Gaffney..... The Cavaliers looked very impressive last week in their win over Dutch Fork. The Indians had the week off to try to get better with their execution. Carolina @ Chesnee..... The Eagles are riding high after their big win at Pendleton last week. They will ride a little higher after another win against a pretty good Carolina team..... Chesnee 31  Carolina 20

Pendleton @ Blacksburg..... The Wildcats had a big win over Crescent last week. Can they follow that up with another big win over Pendleton? I don't think so..... Pendleton 23  Blacksburg 14

York @ Rock Hill..... The York Cougars have been very impressive this season. The Rock Hill Bearcats not so much. The Cougars get it done again..... York 20  Rock Hill 10

COLLEGE GAMES

Clemson @ Florida State..... The Game of the Week in the country. Big test for both of these teams in this top 10 showdown. Great game won by..... Florida State 28  Clemson 24

Missouri @ South Carolina..... The Gamecocks should win this game but, I see them being tested by the Tigers..... South Carolina 20  Missouri 17

Arizona @ Oregon..... The Wildcats of Arizona are a good football team. They aren't no where good enough to beat the Ducks..... Oregon 38  Arizona 24

NFL GAMES

New York Jets @ Miami..... I want to pick the Dolphins to win this game. I am still not sold on them even after their win last week. I should be close but, the Phins come up short..... New York Jets 19  Miami 17

Green Bay @ Seattle..... The Packers had a good win over the Bears last week. The Seahawks had a big win over the Cowboys. Seattle gives the Packers a game but..... Green Bay 31  Seattle 20

Houston @ Denver..... The Texans face old nemesis Peyton Manning. They should get him this time while wearing the Broncos uniform..... Houston 24  Denver 20

DID YOU KNOW? This is the first time that South Carolina at Number 7 and Clemson at Number 9 have both been ranked in the top 10 at the same time.
