WEEK 3 2012 PICKS

We had some exciting football games last week. It started down in Union County, as the Yellow Jackets trailed Gaffney 21 to 7 with about a minute and a half left and they rallied to tie the game only to see the Indians win it with a 15-yard TD run from reserve RB Jo Jo McGill with 3 seconds left. The Indians won 28 to 21. Greenwood and Dorman had a dog fight in Roebuck and the Eagles beat the Cavaliers 21 to 14. Clemson pulled out a big win over Auburn, at The Georgia Dome, with a strong 4th quarter 26 to 19.

My new crystal ball paid some big dividends in my picks last week as I went 7 and 0. I am now 14 and 6 on the season for a percentage of .700. The picks get a little more difficult this week, as we have opening of the NFL season. Let's look at this week's picks.

HIGH SCHOOL GAMES

York @ Gaffney..... This is a very good and confident York Cougar team that invades The Reservation. They are 2 and 0 and have a strong aggressive defense. The Indians are 2 and 1 and truing to go into their open week on a three game win streak..... Gaffney 24  York 17

Woodruff @ Chesnee..... The Eagles are unbeaten and the Wolverines are win less but, the Wolverines will win big..... Woodruff 35  Chesnee 20

South Pointe @ Spartanburg..... This should be another good game between these two and I see the visitors getting the win..... South Pointe 21  Spartanburg 14

Ball State @ Clemson..... The first game of the new season in Death Valley. Tigers coming off big win over Auburn and look to make it two in a row..... Clemson 38  Ball State 17

East Carolina @ South Carolina..... The first game of the new season in Williams-Brice. The Gamecocks look to get better this week and go to 2 and 0..... South Carolina 20  East Carolina 14

North Carolina @ Wake Forest..... The Heels won big last week and the Deacons squeaked by Liberty. The Heels win again..... North Carolina 27  Wake Forest 14

NFL GAMES

Carolina @ Tampa Bay..... Cam Newton and the Panthers look to get off to a good start in 2012. They will do just that..... Carolina 24  Tampa Bay 19
