WEEK 13 2012 FOOTBALL PICKS

Week 12 of the football season has come and gone. The teams that I pull for had mixed results. The Gaffney Indians won their first round playoff game, the Clemson Tigers pounded the Terps but, my NFL teams were 0 and 2 with Carolina and Miami both losing and the Green Bay Packers had their bye week. We sure had a shake up at the top of the BCS Poll with Alabama losing at home to Texas A&M. I am hoping for a Kansas State vs Oregon National Championship Game. How fun would that be with no SEC team playing for the title?

I went 7 and 3 in my football picks last week. My record is 81 and 39 for 68% for the season. Let's look at this weeks picks.

HIGH SCHOOL GAMES

Stratford @ Gaffney..... These two teams have had some good games with each other over the years. This one should be no different..... Gaffney 21  Stratford 14

Boiling Springs @ Dutch Fork..... The Bulldogs are traveling to the midlands for a second consecutive week. Last week they were able to upset Blythewood and this week they will fall a little short..... Dutch Fork 38  Boiling Springs 34

Chesterfield @ Abbeville..... These two teams met in the 1A Division 1 Upper State Championship last season. They both moved up to 2A and their paths cross again..... Abbeville 23  Chesterfield 14

COLLEGE GAMES

N.C. State @ Clemson..... The Wolf Pack beat the Tigers last season. The Tigers are on a roll this season. They can't look ahead to the rivalry game with South Carolina next week. The Tigers won their 13th straight at Death Valley..... Clemson 38  N.C. State 24

Wofford @ South Carolina..... The Terriers give teams fits with their flex bone offense. The Gamecocks will take care of business as they get ready for the Clemson game..... South Carolina 38  Wofford 14

Stanford @ Oregon..... The door has been opened for Oregon to play for the National Championship. They have to win out and it starts here..... Oregon 48  Stanford 28

NFL GAMES

Tampa Bay @ Carolina..... The Panthers lost by six in Tampa to open the season. I just have a hunch that they just might pull this one out..... Carolina 20  Tampa Bay 17

Green Bay @ Detroit..... Can the Packers keep their winning streak alive? It won't be easy but, I see it happening..... Green Bay 27  Detroit 20

Cleveland @ Dallas..... Dallas won the underachievers bowl last week against the Eagles. Can they make it two in a roll? Yes they can..... Dallas 28  Cleveland 17

DID YOU KNOW? Clemson won their school record 12th home game in a row at Death Valley last week against Maryland.

DID YOU KNOW? The Gaffney Indians have now won 39 home playoff games in a row. They have not lost at home in the playoffs since a loss to Orangeburg-Wilkinson in 1984.
